Adam Grant says the work day should end at 3 pm

Sep 19 2018

In a fast-paced and evolving world, some are beginning to question the norms of the American work day, especially its daily duration. A growing movement among industries is leading many to reconsider how work can be completed in a productive manner with the emergence of technologies and other outlets that weren't existent in the past. Dr. Laura Carstensen, founding director of the Stanford Center on Longevity, has been advocating to restructure the way we think about careers in order to accomodate more breaks and returns over a longer time-frame. She asserts that opportunities like education, apprenticeship, and part-time work provide valuable growth and should continue being taken advantage of into an individual's thirties.
