Claire's research focuses on intergenerational relationships and the ways in which older adults contribute to their communities. She is also interested in how social and cognitive resources and emotion regulation processes contribute to emotional well-being across the lifespan. Finally, she is interested in how motivational factors contribute to cognitive engagement and decision making in older adulthood. She received her Ph.D. in Psychology with an emphasis on Lifespan Development from North Carolina State University working with Dr. Thomas Hess, and was a postdoctoral research scholar at Washington University in St. Louis with Dr. Tammy English.
