Research Assistant Application
We review applications on a rolling basis (as needed).
Non-Stanford students are welcome to apply to be volunteer Research Assistants with the lab.
Stanford students who apply to join the lab as research assistants can either volunteer or earn course credits. We offer two practicum options that vary based on your level of commitment. Unfortunately, we are unable to take high-school students at this time.
PSYCH 195: No previous research experience is required. Students earn 1 credit for every 3 hrs/wk they work in the lab. We ask that students commit to 2-4 credits (6-12 hrs/wk). Credits are graded on a pass/fail basis at the end of the quarter.
PSYCH 171: In order to register, you must
Be a psychology major and have previous research experience,
Commit to 3-4 credits (9-12 hrs/wk) per quarter.
Commit to a minimum of 2 quarters.
Attend lab meetings (Mondays 2:30-4:00pm). The course is graded at the end of two quarters and the single grade applies to both quarters.
In place of course credits, students can also receive work-study compensation if they are eligible.
Other Stanford Psychology Research Opportunities
Students can also find us in the Psychology Department Research Opportunities Spreadsheet, which lists openings in our and other Stanford Psychology labs.
If no listing is posted for our lab, please complete the above application.
